After deciding to serve an 18 month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Alie quickly worked to get her papers in. It was a long three weeks, but once we knew the call had been issued and mailed, everyone was anxious to know where Alie would be serving and when she would report to the Missionary Training Center to begin her mission.
We had a big snow storm the weekend before Alie's call came in the mail, so there was a purple snow-missionary constructed in Alie's honor. Complete with a name badge and Book of Mormon, Alie took some pictures with the snow-missionary. We were all anxious to know "where will she go?"
